Applications

We eagerly accept applications for residents, paying students, new apprentices, insta-apprentices, and insta-journeymen. Please allow us 1 real-life week to review and accept/deny your application.

Residents

Any already-created character of any age may apply. This is a great option for players who are new to Dragonsfire MOO.

To apply for residency, please '@send *HarperStaff' a brief history of your character. Why is he/she coming to Harper Hall? What will he/she do there?

Paying Students

Any already-created character aged 6 or older may apply. This is a great option for players who are new to Dragonsfire MOO. Note that these characters are usually the sons/daughters of VIPs: Lords, Ladies, Craftmasters, Minor Holders, Weyrleaders, etc. The classes could be in music, dance, history, arts and letters, or they could be like finishing school / charm school. If you want your character to be the son/daughter of a Hold bloodline, please follow Dragonsfire MOO's rules for establishing a character from a Hold bloodline -- see the good folks at *wiz for details.

New Apprentices

Any unmarried, already-created character aged 12-23 may apply. This is a great option for players who are new to Dragonsfire MOO.

To apply for apprenticeship, please '@send *HarperStaff' a brief history of your character and explain why he/she would make the commitment to become an apprentice. Please expect apprenticeship to last approximately 4 virtual turns; you can make arrangements with *HarperStaff to have that time pass more quickly if necessary.

Insta-Apprentices

You must apply through an established alt on Dragonsfire MOO; your alt should have at least one real-time month of experience on the game. PLEASE DO NOT CREATE THE INSTA-APPRENTICE CHARACTER BEFORE YOUR APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED.

The insta-apprentice should be 13-23 turns of age; the idea is that your character has been an apprentice for a turn or more already -- so you're not starting out from scratch onscreen and you do not have to play the full 4 virtual turns of apprenticeship.

Please note there are more stringent application requirements for insta-apprentices than for new apprentices.

Insta-Journeymen

You must apply through an established alt on Dragonsfire MOO; your alt should have at least one real-time month of experience on the game. PLEASE DO NOT CREATE THE INSTA-JOURNEYMAN CHARACTER BEFORE YOUR APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED.

The insta-journeyman should be 25 turns of age or older; we assume that his or her apprenticeship was completely offscreen and that he or she has been a journeyman for a while already.

Insta-journeymen should not expect to become masters or dragonriders.
